ADM207EARUZ is an EMI/EMC-compliant, ±15KV ESD­ protected, RS-232 line driver/receiver. It is a family of robust RS-232 and V.28 interface devices that operate from a single 5V power supply. This product is suitable for operation in harsh electrical environments and is compliant with the EU directive on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) (89/336/EEC). The level of emissions and immunity are both in compliance. EM immunity includes ESD protection in excess of ±15KV on all I/O lines (IEC 1000-4-2), fast transient burst protection (IEC 1000­4­4), and radiated immunity (IEC 1000-4-3). EM emissions include radiated and conducted emissions as required by information technology equipment EN 55022, CISPR 22. It is used in applications such as laptop computers, notebook computers, printers, peripherals, and modems.

• Input Resistance (RS-232 receiver) is 5Kohm typical at (TA = 0°C to 85°C)
• TTL/CMOS output leakage current is +0.05μA typical at (VCC = 5V ±10%, C1 to C4 = 0.1μF)
• Input pull-up current is 10μA typical at (VCC = 5V ±10%, C1 to C4 = 0.1μF)
• Operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C
• 24-lead TSSOP package
